I thought I’d share a cool video with you guys. It’s of some online gamer guy who accidentally revealed he downloaded something which no-one ever looks at…PORN!!! I know right!
Not only is it hilarious how the guy deals with it, but I absolutely love the way he responds. It is the pinnacle of charisma. The man literally turns a crappy embarassing situation on its head using social genius.
Watch the video – my comments will follow after.
See what he did there?! He literally turned something embarrasing into ‘not a big deal’. Something funny. Something that no longer worked against him, instead using his personality to make him look likeable and cool.
As crazy as it is people were jokingly calling this guy a pedo before this video. Because most people are pussies who love to criticise:
They all watch porn, yet love to point and laugh when others are found out.
They all desperately wish they could own a 14 mansion home, yet enjoy slandering the rich as immoral in some way, so they can feel better about themselves.
They all want to lick the asshole of latino supermodel, yet belittle every guy who pursues pickup as creepy or a loser.
Fuck Ice Cream. I want to lick this on a hot summer’s day!
If you’re ever ridiculed for something fundamentally retarded stand strong like the guy did in the video. But admittedly there are two ways you can do this:
- Hit back strong and bring the opposers down. This is similar to the fight going on between feminists and male-rights activists. There’s no fun in it. There’s no charisma. Don’t get me wrong sometimes this is unavoidable – if you’re dealing with a real prick then a brutal un-lubed anal assault is the only way. However, most of the time you want to…
- Diffuse the situation in a charismatic way. Notice how by the end of the video you end up finding the creator funny and cool. He had spun the situation 180 degrees with his wit and charm. You just couldn’t slander him anymore – he owned it!
Too many people (especially online) follow the first way. The believe they must crusade fiercely against the opposers. But the smartest and coolest way is the second path – it’s the backbone of power and charisma. So let’s breakdown what the guy in the video did right.
1) Use Of Humour
Humour is one the most powerful social and charismatic tools there is. It can make those steely and cold melt their icy exterior and make them love you. It can diffuse fuck-ups you’ve made by diverting the attention away from the situation at hand. A classic example was Donald Trump when confronted claims that he belittled and made fun of women.
Now that’s a beefy attack for a presidential candidate. And one you definitely don’t want sticking. So what did Trump do? He said the famous line “Only Rosie O Donnell”. Watch the following video.
What a man*. What masterpiece. Listen to the crowd roar. And now through humour the problem has had the wind knocked out from it.
[*No I’m not saying I’m a Donald Trump supporter. I don’t care. Politics is just another soap opera for morons to involve themselves in. But I admire the man greatly for his business acumen. GREATLY]
2) Address An Unwanted Issue Head On
People love to be critics. They love to mock and ridicule. And this means you’ll occasionally have a rumour mill running about you. Whilst you generally want to ignore most of these losers and their claims for most of the time, there are certain things which cannot be left to circulate freely. One being that you’re some creepy paedophile!
In these cases you must tackle the issue head on. Doing this shows courage on your part (a trait few people possess, yet everyone admires). And it gives you a chance to deal with the issue on your terms. Do this charismatically and with conviction and you’ll end the problem there and then.
3) Never Recoil and Apologise Over Nothing (People Will Try Make You)
Who the fuck doesn’t watch porn. Porn is a multi-billion dollar industry. I hear that roughly 136% of all data on the internet is porn. We all love porn. Viva la porn!
When a point is fucking obvious you should NEVER recoil or try explain yourself. NEVER. This guy didn’t and I along with many others admire him for it. Standing up for what you believe in is at the heart of charisma.
I was driving with my friend, along with his Uncle and his Girlfriend to my mate’s Mum’s wedding (she was marrying a new man). My friend, his uncle and girlfriend are your normal unaspirational people. Their lives revolve around football teams, gossip and drinking religiously on Friday and Saturday nights. Stuff I don’t care for.
Anyway I’m sitting in the back with my friend and they’re all having a frankly crap conversation about what they did on Friday and how they gotta mega-drunk. The uncle’s girlfriend then asked me where I went Friday night.
I told them “Nowhere – I’m not a big fan of drinking and going out”
They turned around and in a sort of chuckly surprise at how lame an answer that was, asked me “Well, what do you do for fun?”
Honestly it’s amazing. They can’t comprehend anything beyond going out and drinking their weekends away.
Now I’ve seen people when asked this try to bumble something about how they did this or that, and how they went out drinking a few weeks ago etc. They feel embarrassed they can’t live up to the opinions of morons.
I did no such thing and voiced my opinions with conviction, but without attack. Something along the lines of:
“I don’t get the whole drinking thing. There’s a whole world out there and I see drinking Fridays and Saturdays away as a waste of life. Literally I do anything but drink.”
This isn’t an attack, but it’s strong. Truth is deep down they must dislike drinking and ‘partying’ every weekend. It’s what 20 year olds do ffs. Sure it may be fun once in a while, but every weekend??? Are you fucking crazy? You could feel their respect swell for me – I was after all the only one who felt comfortable to go against the crowd.
- Use humour to diffuse
- Tackle any unwanted rumour or claim head-on
- NEVER apologise or backdown from something stupid due to political correctness or pussyhole hivemind thinking
